1,5-PENTANE DIBROMIDE - Production method
It is obtained by ring-opening bromination of tetrahydropyran. In a 500ml flask, 250g of 48% hydrobromic acid, 75g of concentrated sulfuric acid and 21.5g of resteamed tetrahydropyran (fraction at 86.5-87.5 ℃) were sequentially added into a reflux condenser, and the brown mixture was heated and refluxed gently for 3h. After cooling to room temperature, separate the lower layer of dibromide and wash it once with saturated sodium carbonate solution and water. Drying with anhydrous calcium chloride. Decompression distillation, collection of 104-106 degrees C (2.53kPa) fraction is the finished product, the yield is 46-47g, the yield is 80-82%.
